Advance Enhances Line of Mark 7™0-10V
Electronic Dimming Ballasts For T8 Fluorescent Lamps

ROSEMONT, ILLINOIS - January 19th, 2004 - Advance Transformer Company announces numerous enhancements to its popular line of Mark 7™ 0-10V Electronic Dimming Ballasts for T8 Fluorescent lamps. All products now feature Advance’s exclusive IntelliVolt® multiple-voltage technology, enabling their operation at any input voltage from 120 to 277 volts, 50/60Hz (including Advance’s Mark 7 0-10V 4-lamp T8 model, which was previously only available in a 277V format). In addition, Advance’s Mark Mark 7 0-10V models for 1, 2, and 3-lamp T8s are now available in Small Can versions, enhancing their versatility and design flexibility. Fully supporting sustainable design, Advance’s Mark 7 0-10V models for 1, 2, and 3-lamp T8s have been further enhanced to control 17-watt lamps in addition to previous 25-watt and 32-watt models, making the complete product line ideal for applications such as indirect and direct pendants, recessed linear fluorescents, and sconces.

Like other Advance Mark 7 0-10V dimming ballasts, the enhanced units dim lamps directly from a variety of compatible 0-10V controls, including occupancy sensors, ambient light sensors, and other automatic and manual controls. They are ideal for use with the most sophisticated total building management control systems, allowing substantial energy cost savings through such techniques as daylight harvesting and load shedding.

The ballasts’ design allows for lighting control across branch circuits, reducing the number of controls required and maximizing flexibility of application. In addition, Advance’s Mark 7 0-10V ballasts fully support sustainable (green) design as measured by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ performance standards.

In addition to providing significant energy saving opportunities through power consumption reductions, the decreased light levels made possible by Mark 7 0-10V ballasts can lower heat within the workplace, providing reductions in HVAC cooling requirements. The ballasts also provide the aesthetic benefits of starting lamps at low dim level, with no need to ramp up to full light output before dimming.

Mark 7 0-10V ballast features include programmed-start lamp ignition, total harmonic distortion below 10%, a low-profile housing, automatic restrike, and operation above 42kHz. Like other Advance electronic ballast products, Mark 7 0-10V ballasts carry a 5-year warranty. The catalog numbers for Advance’s enhanced Mark 7 0-10V ballast products are IZT-132-SC (1-lamp T8), IZT-2S32-SC (2-lamp T8), IZT-3S32-SC (3-lamp T8), and IZT-4S32 (4-lamp T8).

Advance Transformer Co., a leading ballast manufacturer based in Rosemont, Illinois, manufactures a full line of magnetic fluorescent, HID, electronic fluorescent, and electronic HID lamp ballasts, as well as a broad family of drivers for LED light sources.
