Lutron Electronics Receives Several Top Honors from ADEX Awards
The 2006-2007 ADEX (Awards for Design Excellence) have been announced, with Lutron Electronics receiving four honors (awards were judged on form and function). EcoSystem™, Maestro IR®, and Sivoia QED™ all received Platinum awards, while stainless steel wallplates garnered a silver award.
EcoSystem is a revolutionary lighting control system comprised of digital electronic dimming ballasts, controls, and environmental sensors. EcoSystem can generate energy savings of 50% to 70%, increase occupant comfort, and increase space flexibility.
Maestro IR remote control dimmer allows users to set and recall a favorite light level quickly and easily with the touch of a silver button, making it ideal for transforming a living room into a home theater.
The Sivoia QED (quiet electronic drive) family of roller shades, Roman shades, and drapery track systems easily integrates with lighting controls, and is simple to install in new or existing spaces. All systems operate with ultra-quiet precision, digital low-voltage electronic drives, and offer many options for fabrics and controls.
Stainless steel wallplates coordinate with black dimmers, switches, and accessories and offer homeowners a finished, sophisticated look for their kitchens and baths. These wallplates are available in both the Fassada™ (traditional opening) and Claro® (designer opening) collections.
ADEX, sponsored by Design Journal, is the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures, and finishes marketed to the design trade. This year’s competition brought a record 1,858 entries.
