Square D®/Clipsal® Monochrome Touch Screen Designed for Versatility
in Residential Applications

The Square D®/Clipsal® Monochrome Touch Screen from Schneider Electric is designed for versatility in upscale residences. In addition to being easy to install, customize and use, the Monochrome Touch Screen has numerous configurations available, making it an attractive alternative to multiple single-operation switches, on/off toggles, dimmers and timers, which can clutter walls.

“The Square D/Clipsal Monochrome Touch Screen is sleek, featuring an elegant white cover plate that can be replaced with an optional brushed aluminum Neo™ cover plate if the homeowner desires, to match Neo-style keypads located elsewhere in the home,” said Brad Wills, Square D/Clipsal Business Director. “The European styling of the device will make it fit well within a home’s design and decor.”

The unit holds enough memory to store up to 100 screens, which can include multipoint switching and dimming, master on/off switching, schedules and scenes with multiple loads. Display and controls can be configured with symbols, images, clocks and time, and text in multiple languages, while area plans and other scenes can be graphically depicted. A standard real-time clock enables schedules for lighting and other tasks, while variable dimming fade rates can be easily configured according to load or lighting zone. Another benefit is a locator option that can be configured to help users find the screen in dim lighting conditions.

The clean-lined, low-profile touch screen can be wall-mounted without external fittings. Further convenience is provided through a standard built-in receiver that allows operation with an included hand-held remote control. A desktop model is also available when wall space is limited.

“The Square D/Clipsal Monochrome Touch Screen is an economical approach to high-end residential lighting control,” Wills said. “It is a robust device that enhances a homeowner’s automated lifestyle, providing whole-home lighting control from a centralized area and the ability to set lighting schedules and make changes based on evolving needs. It features functionality that everyone who lives in or visits a home will be able to use easily, even if they have little experience with lighting control.”
