Square D Clipsal Ethernet Network Interface Unit Facilitates Remote Access to a Commercial Building's Lighting Control Network
The new Square D® Clipsal® Ethernet Network Interface Unit from Schneider Electric facilitates remote access to a Square D Clipsal C-Bus™ lighting control network for commercial building managers and system installers and integrators, through the convenience of the nearest Ethernet connection. High-speed control and monitoring of a network through TCP/IP protocols used in computer networks means system configuration and alterations are a seamless process.
“Through the Ethernet Network Interface Unit, facility managers can quickly determine status of lighting loads, make changes to the control system and override lights without necessarily having to travel to the site,” said Scott Jordan, Square D Clipsal Product Marketing Manager. “Another feature of the Ethernet Network Interface Unit is its ability to bridge various Square D Clipsal lighting control systems together. For example, universities and corporate campuses will benefit from a single workstation that can monitor and control multiple buildings as a single system.”
The DIN rail-mounted Ethernet Network Interface Unit is easily mounted in an electrical enclosure and features two RJ-45 sockets to connect it to the C-Bus network, and a third to connect it to Ethernet. Other key features include LED status indicators, a software selectable C-Bus System Clock and a compact size of 3.35 inches high by 2.83 inches wide by 2.56 inches deep.
